Tom and Ray Magliozzi

The hosts of Car Talk, National Public Radio's most popular program, will be recording their last banter-filled episode in September, according to an Associated Press article.

Car Talk, which airs new broadcasts every Saturday, is hosted by brothers Tom and Ray Magliozzi. The brothers announced their retirement today, saying they are ready to "stop and smell the cappuccino."

But never fear, die-hard Car Talk  listeners — NPR will still be airing reruns of the show.

During the show, listeners dial 1-888-CAR-TALK and ask Tom and Ray about their car problems — "some mechanical, some interpersonal, some criminal," says the show's website. The brothers then provide comical, yet knowledgeable answers.

The show is broadcast out of Boston.
