Eight Blind Sailors Are Setting Sail Down England's East Coast

With the Olympics coming up in just a few short weeks, festivities and preparations have already started.

According to the UK Press Association, eight blind and sight impaired sailors are sailing from London to Dorset for the Action for Blind People advocacy group.

It sure should be a challenge.

Three of them will be leaders, including Stephen Ball, who can only make out outlines of objects. Another of the lead three, Danny Grant, can only make out bright lights and no shapes of any kind.

Action is sponsoring the trip to help assist these sight impaired individuals gain confidence as well as help them get technology to live more independent lifestyles.

The sailors will be setting off Monday on the five day race. Best of luck to them!
